The first part of this unit
invites the visitor to change his reference scale. Confronted to unusually
proportioned objects, the visitor is forced to put his everyday environment
into perspective, to question his references and to become aware of
the infinitely small scale of nanometric elements. The discovery of
this scale difference will put him into the “Nanoworld” scale.
In
the second part, he will discover the strange and restricting physics “laws”,
which rule atoms going from a “Newtonian” universe to an
extremely astonishing quantum universe. |
Crossing a line of « hair » the
visitor is taken to the millimetre scale : like an insect. He will
also become conscious of the scale differences by observing nanometric
objects enlarged up to our scale ! This immersion is a sensory travel
into the atomic world. Then, different animations will enable him
to understand the laws ruling nanomatric elements and the observation
techniques developed to study this scale.
